Geoff Redfearn owner and chef heads up a small but perfectly formed team who are dedicated to producing exciting food and great service.

Geoff hails from the Northeast. He trained as a chef in London undertaking an apprenticeship, attending Westminster College, returning to the Newcastle after completing his training where he worked in some of the region’s best hotels and restaurants, working his way to management, he was promoted to a job in London working in the Square Mile.

After many successful years he decided a gap year was in order and a scheduled three week stop in Bangkok turned in to 18 months working with the locals cooking street food all over Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia and India. After returning to the UK Geoff set up a cookery school in London with Angela Malik specialising in Asian cuisine. After three years running the cookery school and deli a phone call lead to Geoff setting up a cookery school with Michel Roux Jr at the TV studios where Saturday Kitchen is broadcast.! !

After completing the contract Geoff was looking to open his own place and having spent many years visiting friend in the Wincanton area bought the former Cat Cafe and transformed it into Redfearns.
